Doconomy opens in Tokyo to provide climate transparency through financial services in response to strong ESG consumer interest in Japan

We are delighted to announce that we are opening our first office outside of Sweden in Tokyo. The objective is to engage with ambitious Japanese banks and brands to enable mindful consumption and strengthen Tokyo as an international green financial hub. To accelerate climate transparency, we have received support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s subsidy program to introduce the globally leading environmental impact methodology Åland Index.

Since The Lifestyle Calculator was released, it has reached over 120 countries. Based on this great traction, Doconomy is now ready to level up the service to offer consumers an even more intuitive and fast way to measure their impact – and hopefully encourage individuals to make lifestyle changes based on their findings.

Doconomy and Klarna extend partnership on sustainability services

Doconomy and Klarna have agreed to extend their partnership providing CO2 insights for all shopping through Klarna until the end of 2023. The partnership, which provides carbon footprint data to Klarna’s 90m+ consumers is one of the largest-ever carbon impact awareness-raising efforts, and will therefore continue and expand with every new user around the world.

Doconomy and Viseca initiate collaboration on carbon footprint measurements using Åland Index

Doconomy and Viseca have entered a collaboration on the Åland Index CO2e Tracker within Viseca’s innovation app “Walter Finance”. The objective is to measure, educate and engage Swiss consumers within climate action and to support the user in making more conscious lifestyle choices. Viseca is the first payment services company in Switzerland to offer carbon footprint measurements using Åland Index.
