Supported by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), and other international organizations and global companies such as Mastercard and Mitsui & Co., Doconomy develops advanced tools to help consumers understand their impact and accelerate their change of behavior.
Doconomy supplies the Åland Index, a digital tool that automatically calculates CO2 emissions resulting from consumer behavior based on credit card payment data. The company also offers the 2030 Calculator that calculates the carbon footprint of a product based on its emission from manufacture to the point of sale.
As a global market leader and pioneer in the impact tech field, Doconomy has been named one of the Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in the World by the U.S. business magazine Fast Company and won multiple Grand Prix titles at the world’s largest festival of creativity and innovation event, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
In March 2022, Doconomy opened its first overseas office in Tokyo and in June, it introduced Aland Index for SAISON CARD Digital, the first credit card in Japan that allows users to check their CO2 emissions based on their credit card transactions. Doconomy currently look forward to expanding its collaborations with other financial institutions and brands in Japan.
Tokyo is today one of the world’s most dynamic green finance markets, and the Japanese government is promoting climate change initiative to meet its goal of a 46% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
