Doconomy joins Priceless Planet Coalition: 100 million trees to be planted

Doconomy joins the Mastercard initiative Priceless Planet Coalition – uniting as a force for good so that the planet can thrive. The coalition consists of more than 30 companies from around the world that has decided to take climate action and together plant 100 million trees by 2025. The initiative will be coordinated and lead by the global environmental organizations Conservation International and World Resources Institute.

“The climate crisis was created together and is best resolved together. Being part of the mission to plant 100 million trees is a truly great step to manifest the strength in working together”, says Doconomy founder and CEO Mathias Wikström

To plant trees is a powerful and cost-efficient way of capturing CO2 and taking climate action. Growing trees also brings local value to locals – up to $30 for every $1 invested in restoring land.

The climate crisis was created together and is best resolved together.

Examples of places where the coalition will plant trees are the Amazon and Atlantic Forrests of Brazil, the Makuli Nzaui landscape in Kenya and The Southern Tablelands/Riverina and Western Sydney in Australia.

As a part of the Priceless Planet Coalition commitment Doconomy will initially plant a tree for every new member in the DO app.
