Doconomy Banx live! CO₂e dashboard powered by Doconomy

Banx live in Belgium – with a CO₂e dashboard powered by Doconomy.

As Proximus accelerates its actions and ambitions in climate action, the telecom company, together with Belfius Bank, presents Banx – a whole new banking experience, imagined by Proximus, powered by Belfius, helping customers to understand impact and be part of the solution in fighting climate change.

By combining the skills, knowledge, and experiences from finance, telecom and fintech the Banx app experience becomes unique by enabling customers to act with greater responsibility through a personal CO₂e dashboard in the pocket of every user.

“The collaboration between Doconomy and Proximus is a great example of how disrupting companies together push boundaries through innovative mindsets. By combining the skills, knowledge, and experiences from finance, telecom and fintech the Banx app experience becomes unique by enabling customers to act with greater responsibility through a personal CO₂e dashboard in the pocket of every user. In a fast-moving world Proximus allows every user of Banx to slow down and learn more about the impact of their transactions. #slowbanking made easy” Doconomy founder Mathias Wikström says.

As Doconomy and Proximus share the same conviction that action is needed, and change is possible additional joint projects will surface in the forthcoming years. This is a great starting point with more opportunities to come.

Doconomys off-the-shelf solution Åland Index has played a crucial part when developing Banx.

Tom Discart, Banx lead at Proximus Group: “Doconomys off-the-shelf solution Åland Index has played a crucial part when developing Banx. The solution has been easy to connect to our own digital eco system, is scalable and gives us the opportunities to actually make our visions fly. Sustainability is at the heart of the Banx app which, thanks to the CO₂e dashboard, will help people to consciously think about the impact of their purchasing behavior. In this way, we not only hope that sustainable banking will grow, but we also want to inspire others.”
